Welcome to the Kirby's Dream World Field Guide. Here you will be able to find basic information over key parts of the game. This information will range from key characters, cities, and many other key parts of the game. This guide is only meant to help you understand KDW and it's world. It is not a FAQ.

The Characters of Dream World:

---

Legend the Legendary Star Warrior:
Legend is a star warrior from legends, in fact that is even how he got his name. Many people told stories of a white star warrior that flies from planet to planet on the legendary dragoon.

One day a light shot across the skies of Dream World. Many people thought that it was only a shooting star but that was not the case. On that day a white star warrior was found at what seemed to be a crash sight, also along with the white star warrior was none other than the dragoon. It was none other than Legend. Until this point in time Legend had no true name, he was only known as a legend and because of that people started calling him "Legend." At first Legend stayed on the world only to study the area, and then left soon after. However after Kirby vanished from the world, Legend came back to Dream World to help fight against the new group known as Shade.

Legend appears to be a normal white star warrior, but he also has the power to transform upon eating his Dragoon. Once he does this he gains armor, a sword, and even wings. Although Legend normally stays in his normal mode, he will sometimes use this form when needed.

Rufus:
Rufus is the king of a land known as Duck Land. Not much is known about this king, but he and his duck army rule Duck Land. Rufus appears to be a pot, but if he is really is the pot, or if he is just inside of it is still unkown.

Rufus has helped the world grow with his use of the Duck Army, but during war times he has been known to destroy what ever gets in his way. If pushed beyond the limmits, there is no telling what he and his Duck Army would do.

Legend met Rufus shortly after he arived in Dream World, and they soon became friends. Rufus is also known to appear at just the right time and cause chaos, but everyone loves him for that and everyone looks forward to seeing what he will do next.

Dr. Killjoy: Dr. Killjoy is a scientist who took over a small island located north of Cappy Town. This island used to be a large island filled with a lot of wild life, however this all changed once Killjoy took over. Now the island is a huge city with no wildlife what so ever.

Killjoy is a friend of Legend's and he also helped make many of the weapons found in Cappy Town,however many of these were lost after a few years of battle. Although Killjoy is a friend of Legend's, him and Rufus do not see eye to eye.

Legend met Killjoy just a bit before he started his city. Although Legend felt that the island was a nice place, he also knew that this city could be of very good use in the wars that were about occure. Not only could supplies be bought there, but it also provided a place for many people to live.

The Storm of Evil:

Shade:
Shade is an evil group of Nightmare leftovers that showed up to attack Dream World. When Shade first came they took over the world by force and even captured Kirby. After hearing about this Legend headed to Dream World to stop them. Shade vanished after Dark Matter attacked, but returned once more a few years later to pick up where they left off. (Note: The Nightmare was destroyed before the events in KDW. This is why Shade is known as "leftovers.")

Dark Matter:
Dark Matter is a cloud that came to Dream World with the same ideas of Shade. When Dark Matter came to Dream World not only did they attack the world, they also removed Shade from it. Once Shade was out of their way they went on with their plans of taking control of the world. After months of fighting, Legend finally destroied Dark Matter with the use of the Golden Star.

Grave:
Grave is an evil group that attacked Dream World and took many areas for them selves, one of which being the Waddle Dee village. Although Grave's time was short lived, they managed to do major damage. Many of the areas they attacked will be lost forever.

The Villans of KDW:

King Dedede:
King Dedede is thel king who rules over Dream World. Dedede doesn't really care about his kingdom, and only uses his power to do what he wants.

When Shade first attacked Dream World, King Dedede took over the town known as Hill Side Town. The reason for him doing this is still unknown, but no one dares take it back from him. Not even Legend.

Forte:
Forte is the leader of Grave. He came to Dream World in order to take Legend down and take the world for himself. He was a very strong fighter and did whatever it took to reach his goals. Before disappearing Forte took control of many areas, and did major damage to the world. Where he is now is unknown.

Sharp and Slash:
Sharp and Slash were two of the elite members of Shade and the ones in charge of controling the forest. They vanished after Dark Matter attacked, but returned a few years later.

Julious:
Not much is known about Julious other than that he was a part of Shade. After Shade vanished Julious also went into hiding and only appears at night to pray on innocent people.

Water Hazard:
Another member of Shade who still hides out in the underwater passages. He is one of the few remaining Shade members in the world.

Clone Kirby:
Clone Kirby was said to be a perfect copy of the real Kirby, however that turned out to be a lie. No one knows what Clone Kirby came to Dream World for but ever since he appeared things have went from bad to worse. Clone Kirby vanished with out a trace and has never been seen since.

Key Cities:

Cappy Town:
Cappy Town is the center of Dream World. The town is a nice sized town with shops, cafes, hotels, and even a battle arena. The town is the home to many of the warriors who came to fight, and also the home to many Waddle Dees, and other creatures that lost their homes elsewhere.

Ice Town:
A small town that is frozen over. Eventhough Ice Town is only a few miles north of Cappy Town, it still uses it's own type of money.

Hill Side:
Hill Side Town is located near Dedede's castle. This town used to be a happy place but King Dedede has taken it over. Sadly after this happened everyone lost their will to fight, and because of this the town is still under his control.

Duck Town:
Duck Town is the key city and only city in Duck Land in which Rufus rules over. The town is very small but it does have some important places. Duck Town is the locaction for Duck Castle, and the Duck Labs. Both of these placesand must be protected at all times.

Pie Town:

A town ruled by the King KING. Pie Town is one of the most well known towns and is home to many different types of creatures. Although Pie Town is normally piece loving town, if you get on their bad side you'll know it.

Lava Town:

Lava Town is one of the older towns that can be found in Dream World. In the past it was a hot spring of sorts, but over time that changed. Today Lava Town is a Ghost Town which a few stray monsters claimed for themselves.

Future City:

Future City was a city that tried to break away from the past. The only way to reach the city was by train, and a passport is needed to even enter the gate. However getting a passport isn't as easy as it sounds. Even so this city is willing to let anyone in who is willing to go through the trouble of TRYING to get in. The city isn't much along the of a "city" per say, but there are some useful items that can be found here. It's worth the trouble in the end.

Doomenstein:

Doomenstein is another tech based city, but this one actually floats on the ocean. Taking the place of a once grassland island, Doomenstein is a huge city made form metal and steal. In this city many people live in apartment buildings, and work in labs.

Other Towns:

Dream World is made up of many areas and cities. Each city has its own purpose in the world which makes them worth traveling to. Just remember that not all cities can be found on the mainland, others, such as Yoshi's Village, can be found on other islands! So make sure you explore as much as possible when hunting for these special areas.

Easteregg Areas

Green Hill:

Green Hill is an island that can only be gotten to by ship. The island is filled with robots, as well as cute little creatures known as "chao." Besides the grassy fields in Green Hill, there is also a portal that can send you to a town known as Station Square.

The Great Fox:

The great ship that's the home of the Star Fox Team. This ship flies through the air in order to protect the galaxy from any dangers. It is said that this ship has a link with Dream World and can be boarded if you go to the "highest" part of space. The Great Fox also has links to other planets which are free to explore... If you're brave enough that is.

Yoshi's Island:
An island that can only be boarded by air. Yoshi's Island is filled with the lovable creatures known as "Yoshies." The air is great here, and so is the sun. The perfect place for a vacation!

Other Easteregg Areas:

KDW has many eastereggs but it's up to you explorers to find them. Just keep looking and you might be shocked at what you find. Who knows? You might even find Princess Peaches castle someday!

Creatures of Dream World:

---

Waddle Dee:

A Waddle Dee is a peace loving creature that lives in dream world. They spend most of their days walking around and having fun. Most Waddle Dees are tame and rather enjoy their little walks, but if attacked they will fight back. The Waddle Dees used to all live at King Dedede's castle, but after the king went mad many fled to other parts of the world. Waddle Dees come in many different types. Normally a Waddle Dee is red, but there are a few exceptions such as the blue Tuff Dee. Waddle Dees live allover the world and can be found just about anywhere.

Waddle Doo:

A Waddle Doo is almost just like a Waddle Dee, however these creatures love to fight. With the ability to shoot a beam out of their eye, they attack unsuspecting people and have fun doing it. Waddle Doos can either be born as Waddle Doos, or they can be Waddle Dees infected with Dark Matter. Just like the Waddle Dee, Waddle Doos can sometimes be other colors. Waddle Doos normally hang out in field areas with Waddle Dees.

Gordo:

Gordo's are a spiked ball monster that can be found all over the world. Gordos do not attack, but they cannot be harmed either. They simply just live their life the way they want, and worry about nothing.

BrondoBurnt:

These creatures mostly spend their time waiting for pray to walk by. Often BrondoBurnt's will sit in high places and wait for their pray and then dive down and attack. However sometimes they can be seen just flying around. BrondoBurnt's aren't something to mess with unless you are sure you can take them. They are often found in the Seaside fields.

Poppy Bros Jr:

Poppy Bros Jr is a smaller version of the monster known as Poppy Bros. These little creatures like to walk around Seaside fields and attack what ever comes by. Normally they just kick to attack, but they are also fond of bombs. Although they like the Seaside fields, they will sometimes be seen in other areas as well.

Crab:

Crabs are normal animals that can be seen walking around in sandy areas. Normally they will not harm you, but if they are attacked, they will attack back.

Kabu:

Kabu's are rock monsters that normally appear in the desert and sometimes in caves. They will attack on sight and can be very strong. Kabus are said to be able to see the future and they use this power to know when to attack. There are different forms of Kabus, but they usually all stick together.

Bio Spark:

Biosparks are a group of ninjas that will take out anything that gets in their way. They are not bound to one area, and some are stronger than the others. Weaker Biosparks are normally found in the desert areas, but their stronger bandit friends can be found in ruins. Either way, Biosparks are not to be messed with unless you are strong enough to take them.

Rockey:

Rockies are normally found in rocky areas such as mountains, caves, the desert, etc... Usually they will just sit around doing nothing all day like a real rock, but when they spot an enemy, they will attack. Some rockies are stronger than others so you have to really watch out for them.

Chillie:

Chillies are snowmen like creatures that love to be in cold places. They use their breath to freeze their enemies, and sometimes even the area around them.

Gim:

Gims are creatures that spend their lives zooming through the air with the use of their jet packs. Gism normally are peaceful creatures but they will defend themselves if needed. Gims can be seen in a lot of different places but rumors have it that there is a group of Gims that only stay in Ice Town.

Lunar Knight:

A Knight of King Dedede. After the King went on his rampage many of these fled to outside areas. Although they are no longer with the king, they still love to fight.

Knuckle Joe:

Knuckle Joes are fighters that travel the lands in order to become the strongest things alive. They can be found all over the world, and will attack anything they see. Many Knuckle Joes have traveled to Mt. Dyna hoping to fight the Dyna Blade.

Bomber:

Bombers fly in the clouds all day long and that's about it. Normally Bombers are friendly, but if you make them mad they will attack. Rumor has it that Bombers hold quite a sum of money on them. Maybe if you attack them you can get it for your self!

Plasma Wisp:

Often called "Sparkies," Plasma Wisps are creatures that are fully made out of electricity. These creatures come in different forms, some stronger than others, and can be found in many different parts of the world. Due to the fact that they are made out of electricity, it's best not to touch them.

Firey:

Much like the Plasma Wisps, Fireies bodies are not solid, but instead made out of fire. They often can be found in hot places, but sometimes in rocky areas as well. Many people have reported that the cave near the woods is overrun with them.

White Shy Guy:

These creatures are rare and no one is sure where they even came from. However one thing for sure is that they are not of this world, and if you manage to take one down, you will be rewarded with a lot of EXP.

Other Creatures:

There are many other creatures in the world of Dream World. Some of these creatures are simply stronger versions of others, but others are a species of their own. So keep an eye out as you explore the world. You never know what you might find.
