A. Intro
==========
Hello everyone this is Legend, I'm the head creator of Kirby's Dream World, and this is a guide to help all of you out. Now at first the game can seem hard but once you get used to it, it becomes easy. This guide is ment to help everyone get started with the game in the best way I know how. I'll be talking about different tricks and scerets in this guide as well! So make sure you read carefully. Anyway lets get started with this guide.

==========
B. Stats
==========
In KDW we have four different types of stats.

Sword(STR):
This is to level up your attack power. This may be the most important stat in the game.

Shield(DEF):
This is your defence. The higher this is, the less damage you will take. This stat is very important as well. Some may say this is the best stat, but it all depends on the player and what kind of build you are going for.

Boot(Speed):
This stat is a very usefull one but only for the first 30 levels. This stat increases the chances you will hit something, and also when you get it to level 20 you will get 2 stat points per level, and at level 30 it will give you 3 stat points per level.

Blue Sphere(Special):
This increases your MP and special attack. This stat is only good if you will be using a lot of skills, but for the most part KDW is a melee/gun game. Even so some people still like to use skills and if you are one of them, then this is the best stat for you to level.

C. Guide
===========
Ok so let's get started with this guide. Remember you do not have to follow this 100% but please keep in mind some of the things I do because it can really help you out.
----------------------------------------------
Character:
----------------------------------------------
When starting the game I decided to pick a Knuckle Joe as my character. Now all of the characters are good, but I have always felt that Knuckle JOe has the best features. First of all Knuckle Joe starts out with high attack power, and good defence. The second reason I picked Knuckle Joe is because he can climb up rocky areas. This skill really helps out at the lower levels of the game! (Also please remember that you can class change in the game. It just costs money). Anyway, this part is really up to you so pick what ever class you feel is best.
----------------------------------------------
Fast leveling/Shyguys:
----------------------------------------------
Ok after making the character you will appear in the Hang-Out. This area is the best to level at low levels because you do not lose EXP when you die here, however for now it would be best to level the fast well. Head to the map to the north which should be the fields. Every 5 minutes a monster called "White Shyguy" will appear here. There are 5 of these hidden in the game, and all of them give a lot of EXP. If the Shyguy is there and you kill it, you should get enough EXP to be level 6 or 7.

---------------------
NOTE: Remember until around level 25, add all skill points into the speed stat. The goal is to get 30 speed so that you gain 3 skill points per level. In the end this really will help you out since you will be able to level more stats.
---------------------

If that Shyguy was there or not, doesn't matter. If you killed it great, but if not let's just go on to the next one. The next Shyguy is south 2 maps from the park (the park is a map to the left of the Hang-Out). This area is filled with strong monsters but if you keep at it you will be able to make your way around the mosnters and get to the Shyguy. If you were able to kill both of these you should be level 9 or 10 by now. If you are close to 10, go ahead and kill Waddle Dees until you are level 10.

As for the other Shyguys they can be found in the woods, icetown, and the desert. I wouldn't worry about the one at icetown for awhile, but to get to the one at the desert simply go right 4 maps from the Hang-Out. Now this area will be filled with monsters but if you are a Knuckle Joe you can climb on the wall to avoid being hit. Once you are on the wall, get the monsters to chase you to one side, then hurry up and run around the monsters and kill the Shyguy.

The Shyguy in the woods is also a tricky one to get to at your low level. To get to this Shyguy go to the woods, go as far left as you can, go down a map and to the left again as fast as possible. If you are fast enough you can avoid being hit. Now you should see the water. If so head a map down and you'll see the Shyguy.
----------------------------------------------
Items:
----------------------------------------------
While you are leveling, and going after the Shyguys it's best to pick up everything you can find. You'll see stars, apples, old pages, Chaos Emeralds, and crystal shards. All of these items will be needed later on.

As for stars, they are the money of this game so you will need a lot of them to buy what you need.

Apples are the healing items of the game, so by picking these up and using them, you can keep yourself alive a lot longer.

Old Pages are for a quest. You will need 50 in all so you might as well get started as soon as possible.

Crystal Shards are also a part of a quest. In this quest you need 500 of them to get the full crystal which is a very strong gun. This quest will not be beat for awhile, but it's best you start now.

Chaos Emeralds, once again, are for a quest. Find all 7 of them to unlock one of the strongest swords in the game. You'll be able to find a few of them around town so make sure you pick them up if you see them. It will save you a lot of trouble later.
----------------------------------------------
Blast Items:
----------------------------------------------
Ok the Blast Items will really help you out from the very start. To get these you will need to run as fast as possible through Wam Bam Cave and just pick them up. Wam Bam is located to the east of the cafe. In the map before Wam Bam you'll see a car which will take you to an island. If you head to the island you will see a spawn point which will really help you out at this part. Simply step on the spawn point and then get back in the car.

Now the goal here is to go into Wam Bam Cave, go south 1 map, and then west one. In this map you will see at the bottom left 2 items sitting on the ground. Hopefully you will be able to run around all of the monsters and get the items before you die. If you can it will really improve all of your stats. This is a very good way to become strong early on. Once you have these items about 70% of the monsters you have ran into, cannot even harm you anymore.
----------------------------------------------
World Trade Quest:
----------------------------------------------
You will most likly need help on this quest but you might as well start it.

If you go 1 map to the left of Justice Street you will see a lot of Bandits and 2 houses. Try to outrun the bandits and go to the house at the top left of the screen. In this house you will be able to take the world trade quest.

Now this quest takes you to some places that are to strong for you, but with the help of other members, you will be able to do it with out too much trouble.

At the end of the quest you will get a gun which helps out quite a bit at early levels.

----------------------------------------------
Hidden Areas (Extra):
----------------------------------------------
KDW has many hidden areas through out the game. These areas are normally just for fun, or sometimes they are maps from older versions that were removed from the real game. However some of these hidden areas are very useful as well.

Sometimes in hidden areas you will be able to find very strong items, money, or keys to open new rooms, and inside of these rooms the keys unlock you may find even more stronger items. Really hidden areas are sometimes the best areas to go to just because they might make you a LOT stronger!

Some areas that might be worth checking out include the past KDW maps which can be found in Legend's Food Bar, the S.S. Legendary Ship, the back path that starts out in Sea Side fields, and Legendary Base.

If you are able to find these areas, they might help you out a lot. Some of them have large amounts of money hidden in them, and others have rare items. So find these locations as soon as possible. They might really help you out!

----------------------------------------------
What next?:
----------------------------------------------
Well after getting past level 10, and getting the Blast Items, what you do next is up to you. You might want to start saving up for some better items in the shop, or you might want to start exploring. Either way it doesn't really matter. How you play this game is up to you! However you might want to get to at least level 30 before exploring too much. To get to level 30 (or higher) just keep killing the Shyguys. Once you are a high enough level you can then move onto mobs of stronger monsters that give out good EXP (such as the Waddle Bandits). Also why not try looking for some of them hidden areas? Who knows, they might make you stronger and richer than you ever expected to be!

Anyway good luck everyone!
