KDW Trivia: Fun Fact #3 - An Original World

Did you know that Kirby's Dream World is almost entirely made up of original locations? As a dream world players and fans control, it is mostly made up of locations right out of their own imagination. While some areas are based off of real world locations, the vast majority of places you can go to are unique to KDW. Even places with names similar to areas found in the official Kirby games are original maps designed only for KDW. For example, "Ripple Fields" is actually "Seaside Fields." It was given the name Ripple Fields late into KDW's lifetime. It's name was only changed to Ripple Fields for the fans. As for most locations, they keep their original names. Duck Land, Pie Town, the Desert, the Ruins, Sky Way, Lava Town, Ice Town, Rock Cave, Legendary Space, Turtle Island, and so on, are just a small chunk of the areas found in KDW that have no connections to an outside source that also kept their original name without "Kirbyfying" them.
